Yeah, it isn't a fair comparison if it's something where idiots have no chance against you. That's perfectly acceptable. But when you're the idiot, everything's different. And when you get embarrassed for being the idiot, not only do you back out of your word, you actually insult the person who outsmarted you.
Ken was certain he would win the bet. Lots of big talk then:
"I don't get how in any way you can beat me throwing the ball."
When Ken believed that, he said:
"I will use a racquet, you can catch. I'll play you for any amount of money"
And you were there to back him if he needed it.
So what you're saying is, it's SMART of you and Ken to take a bet when he believes he has no chance of losing. But it's STEALING for Nick to take a bet when he believes he has no chance of losing.
