If your table selection is good you shouldn't have too many 2p2ers at your tables anyway.

Can you give us more tips on table selection, avoiding fellow 2p2ers and shooting fish (I've not heard of sixth sense, could you elaborate on why it is so good and what how to use it) Is sixth sense worth investing in at 50NL and limited playing time (is there an optimal number of hands that would make it worthwhile?
Talking of other aids.
In your opinion which books are worth reading and which aren't?
What are your favourite 2p2 threads?

Table selection is so important. I'd say it's the second most important thing to beating SSNL after valuebetting. Perhaps it's even more important.
What I do is I fire up Sixth Sense (try
Sixth Sense Poker or the 2p2 software forum for more info) and set it to scan the tables. Then I go through each table and see who's sitting and then evaluate whether I think playing that table is worthwhile. In general I want one big fish rather than 5 small fishies. I'd rather sit at a table with 4 good TAGs and one 75/25 moneyspewer than with five 35/12 weak-to-mediocre players. I guarantee that your winrate of the former table will be higher as long as the TAGs aren't a whole lot better than you. And even then it doesn't really matter that much because your goal is always to get into pots with the fish, not with the good players.
I think Sixth Sense is worth it for just about any stakes, but maybe not so much for 50NL and below. For 100NL and above I think it's a must have. It's only $15/month for 50NL and below so maybe you should try it out for a month and see whether you like it. I just purchased a three month silver sub (400NL and below), and then in three months I'll probably get the 12 month gold sub (all levels).
I don't really think there are any good books on NLHE. Sure NLHETAP was ok, but it wasn't that special, and some of the advice is horribly weak tight for the current state of online 6-max NLHE. For a beginner try Phil Gordon's Little Green Book.
I already mentioned the 50/100 vs. Mahatma thread:

let me clarify my question. it seems like a lot of you are saying something like: well you have to call here because top two pair is such a strong hand and if you just fold top two pair when P pushes you will get run over. so in other words you are using the hand strength here as a way to control how often we call when P pushes the river. i.e. call with AK or better, that way we call him x% of the time, if we call less than x% P will abuse us.
i know you don't think you are doing this but i'm pretty sure you are. because if we had KQ i don't think you would all say oh easy call P is bluffing. and yet most of you would agree that the vast majority of the time, P has either less than KQ or greater than AK.
it seems to me that this is sort of a game-theoretic approach. i.e. x% is optimal for calling P river push, and so i will call with AK or better to get to that x%. the problem of course is every scenario is different. THIS is the kind of thinking that makes P so successful, not the guys who are saying to fold. because when you think like this you are giving up already. you are not even trying to read him. you are just saying, my hand falls into the x% when i should call, i hope i win. he knows that you do this.
and that's why the x% is not going to work out for you. it's gonna seem like you're getting unlucky but you're not. it is by design that a good chunk of your x% calls will be against the nuts.
