Re: Ask me your WOW \"world of warcraft\" questions.

getting addicted to WoW at the end of my poker career taught me something really valuable about games:
if I want to learn a little discrete skill, online games are fine - Counterstrike, dawn of war, whatever - you get better over time, but you can always just suck, and you only play for as long as it entertains you. The second you're bored, you quit.
Same thing with offline strategy or role playing games - you save when you want and do something else.
But online games where you're competing against real people and you can make progress are humongous useless timesinks to me. I just get wrapped up in the useless strategy and minutia and forget to do productive things like stay up late on a worknight watching Deadwood season 2.
off of WoW, fantasy baseball and whatever for 1.5 years.

What do you think about the horsehit ending to Deadwood Season 3. So much built up drama...then hearst walks away unscathed, alma sells her claim and the camp is clueless...bullock losing his seat.
In a show where we root the badguys, then to see them lose was disheartening, espically with the char development.
I wanted to see Bullock/Swearengin draw some blood.
