why does everyone think the guy catching is at such a disadvantage? A tennis court is big and you are allowed to pivot and fake throw, think about it people, you are gunna run that poor guy with the raquet to death. I cant hit a tennis ball for [censored], but I sure as hell could throw one pretty accurately. And with a glove?? fo get aboud it

You're losing a foot or two of range, that's why its a huge disadvantage.

You're really not though. If you watch tennis, a lot of shots involve the player getting into position, squaring up to hit the shot, then swinging. There aren't many shots that are all out stretches. Also, he won't lose the range because he will be able to dive more freely knowing he won't have another shot coming right back at him after he touches the ball, and will be able to get up and control where his next "shot" goes.
The hardest part of this game, is going to be catching the serve and catching the return from your "serve." After both of those, I think the game is actually favorable to the thrower.
