that's kind of a dumb thing to say, for all kinds of reasons.

Consultants make money by selling advice, strategy and services - they are not front line managers "doing" a lot of work.

Equity Analysts make money by giving buy/sell recommendations, and are compensated for doing this - not for investing their own money.

anywho, to assume that affiliates are bad poker players is dumb. it's simply another stream of income in a field that they are already familiar with, and acts to stabilize monthly revenue. it's a sound business.
