Re: Jamie Gold Responds to $12 M WSOP Lawsuit

From the ealier CP article:
Leyser claims the breach of their contract has caused and will continue to cause him irreparable harm. He’s also stated publicly, “if Gold obtains the total sum of the winnings, Leyser will suffer further irreparable harm.”
Some poster claimed to know this guy and described him as a stand-up guy. Sounds like a guy after a quick buck (6 million in fact).
Legality of any agreement aside, perhaps the two decided to split the winnings, say $20-40k if Gold actually made it into the money, if the dude helped Gold find celebrities to endorse Bodog.
Nice little earner, no problems there.
But Gold actually made it BIG. How on Earth does this justify a $6M payday?
If this is how it went, it's pure greed and makes me feel pretty sick.

Not to be a Gold hater BUT. From what i understand/have read Leyser either paid for Golds entry and/or helped get some b list celebrities to wear Bodog gear in return for HALF of any cash Gold won.
Now maybe all the facts are not out there but from how i see it they both entered into an agreement and if either party didnt like it they should of hashed it out before the WSOP.
Gold owes half of the money he won to Leyser and if Gold gives any less than that hes garbage. end of story.
Again maybe all the facts are not out yet but if everything is close to accurate thats how i see it and i dont see how anyone can see it differently. wait and see how this goes down.
