By making it 350 you just bloat the pot for the flop when you have a short stack. This is not a good idea. By making it 350 preflop you pretty much have tio committ youself with any c-bet you make. By making it 250 preflop you can bet 250-300 on the flop & get away from the hand if you're behind w/ around 800 chips or so, where you maintain some fold equity.
