Default Re: Should I quit due to excessive bad beats???

I think the topic is not about playing those hands in an optimal way, it is about a string of bad beats. A bad beat is defined by the likely outcome getting turned around by an unlikely event.

You can play like an idiot, but if you are a 10:1 favorite going to the river only to lose it, it's a bad beat nevertheless (even if the other guy had the pot odds for the call).

Personally I think one should not get discouraged by bad beats. If you like to believe in conspiracy theories, then quit playing online and check out a real casino.
