2) This really is personal preference but the obvious ones are vp$p, pfr, wtsd, w$sd.
3) PO is a sort of one stop shop, but you can get the same functionality using PT with PAHUD and Poker Patterns. Poker Tracker and PAHUD support are both very good which is why I think they have become the most popular.
4) Many people datamine I would guess. If you sit down and have a couple hundred hands on someone your in an advantageous position, why wouldn't you do it ? ps. Datamining will be difficult when the new party beta becomes the standard although I dare say someone is probably working on a way around it right now.
