Default Re: About Jamie Gold...

I apologize, I posted before reading the entire thread and I reiterated many things that were said on all sides of the discussion.

That being said, it really seems like much of the focus about Gold's dominance is after he had over half of the chips (Lee donated over 15 m, remember). Sure, he played the big stack to perfection after that, but he was really struggling before and the stacks were rather quickly evening out. And on the the days leading up to the FT he had 2000 AA>KK's .

I want to bring this nonsense to some sort of agreement. All the haters and the lovers are going to great lengths to bolster their point. Almost the entire tournament hinged on that QQ<JJ hand with Lee. (Lee had 1/5 of the chips)

Haters: "OMG, the donk gave him 1/5 of the chips, he;s such a donkey luckbox fish"

Lovers: "OMG, the donk gave him 1/5 of the chips, he totally played excellent and clearly ran over the field"

Neither is true, it's just some [censored] that happened. Crazy [censored] happens.

So can we have some decent discussion about the pros and cons of capping the number of entrants?
