Not quite sure exactly how "real" their life was. Lanchester must have had an extraordinary
constitutution to put up with Laughton's, uh, dalliances.

I read once that Laughton contacted Robert Mitchum about the part in Hunter and told him, "I need an absolute sh*t with no conscience" for the part.

To which Mitchum replied, "I'm your man."

"CHILL-dren . . . CHILL-dren . . ."
