My gf has just started using this site
www.sparkpeople.com recently to regulate her diet. It's got a pretty cool system for monitoring your calorie intake and exercise plan, and there's a forum. I'm not overweight and I thought the whole thing was silly until she input what I ate the last two days and I found that I consumed 200 calories on Monday and 5,000 on Tuesday, and figured that it'd probably be a healthy idea to check the site out.
From what I can see so far it's probably incredibly helpful for people trying to lose weight. You input your current weight and your desired weight by a certain date and it helps you build a meal plan and exercise plan to get there, and keeps track of how well you're keeping up with your goals. Worth giving it a try IMO.
