Also the game is called 500 in my neck of the woods.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I'm 100% sure that is not the name of the game, sorry sir.

[/ QUOTE ]
I have to step in and stick up for Suzzer here as 500 was the name of the game in my neck of the woods as well and I GUARANTEE you that my neck of the woods was nowhere near either of you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds fair enough...I'm still pretty sure that name is incorrect . At least when suzzer claims it, lol.
[ QUOTE ]
In keeping with the spirit of the thread, I will ask Yoogo a question.
Does essence precede existence when an individual is confronted with the paradox of eternity?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not necessarily. It would seem the popular consensus is that it does.
Also, btw, eternity isn't necessarily a paradox either. It's just a concept we invented to confuse ourselves given our linear view of the temporal realm.
[ QUOTE ]
Also,
What is the origin of the phrase "Ship it"?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not really sure but it definitely started in poker as something to say when dragging a big pot. Then it at some point just became and exclamation used to express the awesomeness of something or a situation.
Personally I started saying it after hanging out with Raptor517 and TheUsher like 1.5 years ago. Although as I remember they dropped many Gs at a pai gow table during that time so they probably were saying "unship it " instead.

What is with the "Z" in "ZOMG" and "LOLZ" or "ZLOL"?
[/ QUOTE ]
You guys should look this stuff up yourselves, .
But yeah, basically as it seems to be used on this message board it is sort of a making fun of itself version of OMG. I guess OMG just got too boring, . Personally I like to throw in a nice "oh em gee" when I'm talking irl....then I twirl my hair in a mocking manner or something and give the target negative body language and throw a sniper neg.
Oh wait, only cardminger knows what I'm talking about, meh.
[ QUOTE ]
And one more,
Is the rampant typing of "teh" as in "he is teh pawn" on this forum simply a typo each time or is there some hidden origin of this as well that I am not familiar with?
[/ QUOTE ]
When saying "teh pwn" it's intentional. However it's a very common typo anyway so sometimes it's hard to tell. Frankly I do it intentionally and unintentionally myself. It's all essentially
1337 speak and was devloped by people who mashed keyboard incessently while hopped up on mountain dew at 5am playing crap 1st person shooters.
