I can't figure out how to edit the .bat file to treat the HH as 6-max and save as .txt

Extract the whole zip to a folder. Right click on run.bat and click edit. Make the bat file look like this:
@echo off
freephg.exe -6max
Then make sure you run FPHG by running the batch file and NOT the exe by accident!

Computer newb here....I edited the batch file as you said here, but I can't get the program to run by trying to open via the batch file...I double click on it, and for a fraction of a second it looks like it's opening (I see a quick flash of black, like how FPHG looks), then it dissappears. Any help?

@echo off
freephg.exe -6max
pause 0
This should make it stop for long enough to read what it is saying (perhaps you don't have the CLI stuff installed and need to edit a shortcut to add the options?).

Thanks, that worked for getting it to load up, but now it's tell me the following, "'FreePHG.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external comman, operable program or batch file. Press any key to continue . . .
When I press "any key to continue" it shuts down.
Sorry for the newb questions, I know I'm almost there to get this working correctly, hehe.

It might also be that you haven't got the CLI stuff installed for XP/Win2K, so you could try this instead:
1. Create a shortcut to freephg.exe
2. Edit the properties of the shortcut.
3. In the box which says "Target" add the option you want (just as you would in run.bat).
4. Run FPHG by using this shortcut.
