Moons drumming is freaking awesome. Nobody else ever came close to sounding like him. Totally unique, and absolutely made songs like I Can See for Miles, I Can't Explain, Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere. Who gives a crap about technique when your drummer basically destroys his kit just by playing it?

Because someone like Neil Peart can do those Moon songs without destroying his kit and with good technique. Moon's a good drummer. But he's not the best ever.
