Default Re: Six Max Baby Steps

As usual, 2+2's provides a priceless education.

I made the switch over to $1/2 6 max and found that a little common sense and well timed aggression can make a big difference in results. Here are my general observations:

1. Love the Donkey. There's at least one at every table and when he plays 83 or 64 for 4 bets PF and wins (I can send you the games to prove it), be too busy taking notes to comment on his play, you might want to add him/her to your buddy list. Sometimes I'll say "nh" and then type "$1-6 CFI" in my notes where "c" is for complete and "i" is for idiot. You've heard it before but its true: they can't win in the long-run! Don't leave because the Donkey hit 4 or 5 hands in a row.

2. Expect Larger Swings. I push the Hell out of my straight and flush draws and when I hit its good, when I miss; just deal the next hand. Somewhere in the Universe all my missed out are piling up and creating a Black Hole while here on Earth when I miss 5 or 6 consecutive draws I may look like a maniac but there's just no reason to slow down because the you missed the last 4 draws! You have to get paid off when you hit too and not just pay people off when you miss.

3. BlackJack Start Hands. I'm not sure of the math but in addition to raising with the "usual suspects" I feel quite good about raising with any 2 cards that add up to 20 or 21. I've had good experience with these cards and can easily get out of Dodge on a missed flop.
