Once upon a time...in the days before internet-poker...there were full-time live-poker pros who proved that one can obviously make a living playing only 1 table at a time.

And even then it was in an area before automatic-shufflers. So they were getting even fewer hands than a player gets on just one online-table.


The obvious answer is that of course it is possible to make a living playing only 1 table at a time.

However, if you are only playing 10/20 then you best be prepared to not make a huge amount of cash.
A 3/6 player at 4-6 tables would likely be able to make more than a 10/20 single-tabler in some situations (although the single-tabler may have the energy to grind out more hours per week I suspect).
