I think it's a reasonable request, but I don't like how it might be construed as, "Well, you can post in OOT with that avatar, but if you want to post in TLDR, you'll have to change it." Seems like something that'll be keeping people out of here. Someone like PITTM, whose TLDR-inappropriate avatar is so distinctive of him likely wouldn't bother changing it. Also, infrequent or former visitors with old posts in an on going thread might be put off at being asked to change their avatars when they don't even come here anymore.
