Unfortunately I didn't have too much of a read on him at that point other than seeing him win a pot a couple of hands earlier playing HU after the flop. He pulled a flush draw on the river in the hand holding 5d3d in the BB with the flop showing two A's. He was definitely at a disadvantage prior to the river as it was clear the other player had a pocket A and the pot was small.
So basically I figured he wasn't too good of a judge of when to fold, but I couldn't tell his pre-flop play since he just checked from the BB.
