I know the lyrics are profoundly depressing but the melody is so upbeat that I can't think of it as sad. Great song though.
My saddest song is "If It Takes Forever" by Connie Francis. A definite oldie - the reason it's so sad for me is because it always gets me thinking about that Futurama episode where Fry's dog waits out his whole life for him. Dying loyal dogs = [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
