On hand 2, there is EV and there is also risk. If you had a situation where you are getting paid 3.01 to 1 and will win 25% of the time, do you want to take it? You are risking everything for a small amount of expected value.
The question is whether what you think your chances are of having a better investment?
Unless my stack is small and the blind are about to kill me, I rarely want to risk it with a 25% chance of winning.
