Re: Gold from mid/hi

So I post to invite the mockery of my peers and to pose a question. There are numerous advantages to not looking at your results when you are running bad, perhaps even average. Are there negative consequences to peeking when you are running well?

No results, fool! Your feeble attempts at discovery are pitiful!
Honestly, it's never good for me to look when i'm running well. That's because I'm already feeling good, I'm on my A-game, and I log more hands. A few things can happen when I look at my results:
1) I'm up huge. This is exhilirating, but doesn't really change my outlook at all.
2) I'm up a decent amount. This leaves me semi-satisfied, perhaps irked that all my good hands are not reaping the rewards I had hoped for.
3) I'm not up any significant amount. This bursts my bubble and now i'm not feeling that good about my game and I start to get a tad frustrated.
4) I'm actually down! This is a huge buzzkill and frustrates me that what seems to be such good cards could lose me money.
5) I'm down alot! Very very frustrating, though sometimes inspires me to play more hands/better poker.
So basically, I don't gain anything by looking - I only stand to ruin my good mood and positive attitude towards playing. It may be different for you, but these are my reasons for not looking.
