Something to consider, though I don't expect it to happen on any site soon, is to change the blind structure so it encourages looser play. Maybe throw in an ante or something ... when a casual player sits in a full ring game and sees a big fold-fest so that every pot's 2- or 3- handed the game's not fun for them. Nobody, pro, amateur, or otherwise, wants to sit in a game filled with nothing but people who play 15-20% of their hands. An altered blind structure would change the optimal strategy ... and make the games a lot more interesting when you see 4-5 players in the pot slinging chips around. For all its advantages like simplicity and all that, at its core, the traditional way it's played Hold'em isn't really an action game compared to other types of poker. It doesn't have to be this way, but the way the blind structure's set up it is.
After all, if you optimally play 30% or so of your hands you wouldn't be as likely to be able to or even need to play on 10 tables at once. Besides, poker's more fun that way [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
