Re: OMG Phil hellmuth is so bad at poker!
If I remember correctly from an episode, his wife is a psychiatrist at Stanford Med. How much would she pull in from that? Maybe $250K if she's got a senior position? Hellmuth must pull in far more than that a year with winnings + endorsements, and his lifetime earnings without a doubt vastly exceed hers. I'm not sure the point you're trying to make here, but Phil is certainly the breadwinner of the family (although I'm sure she adds a nice extra income).

Phil has made his living and supported himself by playing poker since he was what - 22 years old or something? He hasn't had a 9 to 5 job for 20 years (or ever) I guess that means he doesn't know how to play. For the last 20 years he has paid his rent, bought his groceries and put gas in his car with money he has won from playing poker. Yeah - I guess that means he doesn't know what he is doing

awesome...
I'm not knocking Phil but the above is just plain stupid.
I know a chess player that you could say the same thing about.
He also is married to a Physician but hey.. let's not let the facts get in the way of defending someone that does not need to be defended!?
OK one more time... Phil is married to a Physician.
He don't need no day job, dropping off the kids and picking them up from school is enough.
And good for him... he talented at poker and at picking a wife that brings in major $$$$$
