I guess our replies, and many were more welll written than mine, hit too close to home for you so you lash out. That's okay...but understand that using the same tactics that you complain about will not influence others to change.

I initially came here for strategy, got interested in the community, and have since decided that the community is a fundamentally mean spirited group of people who insult people as a kind of epenis contest.

I lashed out because the average regular poster on this forum is a huge *sshole and you know it.

For those that tend to lash out unnecessarily against someone who doesn't deserve it, I place them squarely in my ignore file and I don't read their ideas. I have a good idea about people who share information and willing to help others improve and I listen to them very carefully.

As far as the average regular poster being a sphincter? Well, I think the percentage is higher than 10% but lower than 50%. So your perceptions and mine are slightly different, but it's the Internet. If you really want to read something fun go to RGP - it's a hoot! However, my interactions with those IRL have started reflecting the Internet, especially with those in customer service when they say they are trying to help me when in actuality, they are not. I love it how some people put their responsibilty on someone else in the name of "helping", but that's another story for another time - in fact, just thinking about it ruins my coffee buzz.

Anyway, I still assert that yelling at someone to change will not influence them to change - it just fuels the fire for them to keep behaving in the same way (and I still don't think those in this thread have done anything that you have suggested - being mean, rude, obnoxious, and so on - they have just been honest).
