Yeah, hand protection is not a huge issue here. Flush draws won't go away (if anyone happens to have one -- and as far as that goes, SB is a likely candidate), and if we're ahead of SB, that means anyone holding 7x may be sharing outs with him. (They may both be chasing the case 7 and whatever their kickers are.)
And although we wouldn't mind driving a wheel gutshot out, if we happpen to be ahead, no one's really that likely to have one, and we don't really hate having a wheel gutshot call either.
And part of the reason for this is in fact that the pot is small.
