Guys, I think MDMA is trying to point out a very important concept that a number of posters seem to be missing. The concept of playing a hand a certain way based on a read WITHOUT adjusting your read as you get more information is really weak. One may have a read on your opponent having a hand (or more relevantly a range of hands) at one point in the hand, but after obtaining more information (for instance, action after the flop), that read can change - or more relevantly, the range can narrow.
In this hand, I may or may not have made a mistake, but the concept of just making my decision of whether or not I have the best hand preflop and then reacting to the flop accordingly is extremely simple minded.
