Good reaction to just walk away. Some funny retorts that popped in my head were the following.
"I gotta jacket too. It says Columbia on the front, and it was bought for me not by the WPT, but by you kids who had the WPT pay for theirs."
"That jacket is going to cost you a lot more than any north face jacket would ever cost."
