im suprised that you guys are suprised. i would never put my kids in daycare either. most of the reason being that if youre going to have a kid you should put serious effort into their development, i believe a daycare hinders this development and shows kids a lower level of love and compassion than they need. fair?

Don't you think it's unreasonable to say that if a couple can't afford to live on only one income they shouldn't have kids?

My parents both worked when I was a kid. I never went to traditional daycare. I went to nursurey school and a babysitter. The babysitter was a woman that lived in our apartment complex and babysat 3-6 kids throughout the time I stayed w/ her, which was ~6 years I think. It was fine imo, and my parents had no other option as neither made enough money for hte other one to quit working.
