unheard of no but very uncommon on 2.03 Million hand $200 NLHE 6max database I have counted 91 players with 7,500 hands or more -these are the most active players presumably the best-only 5 players had winrates of 10.00ptbb/100. Only 3 out of 42 players with 10K hands or more acheived 10.00ptbb/100.

For me personally I ran at 12ptbb/100 my first 20K than ran around 6.50ptbb/100 my next 60K for what is now a earn rate of around ~7.25ptbb/100 on 80K hands..I'm trying to get this up to 8 ideally.

A good winrate at $200 is more than 5.00ptbb/100 but if you have any desire to make $400 your main game I think you should make at least 6ptbb/100..7+ is even better. If you are only doing around 5.00-6.00 which is great just for $200 my guess is you will struggle with the variance of $400 and a mediocre winrate of 3-4 ptbb/100..but the swings may curtail your getting in required hours and you may burn out.

I play both games now $200 and $400 and have luckily again gotten off to a fast start in the $400's but remember 10K,20K even 30K hands your true winrate can be way off from your results from this small a sample.

I would be sure to grind out 50K hands minimum at $200 at really a minimum of 6ptbb/100 before moving up..you can do that in a month or so. Dont be in such a hurry...


edit: I also just ran the numbers on a 2.11 Million hand $400 6max db I have. In this databse there are fewer players but the better players play many more hands due to winning players multi-tabling and grinding it out.

201 players have played 7,500 hands or more-only 4 out of 201 are 10ptbb/100+,only 11 out of 201 are 8ptbb/100+.

127 players have played 10,000 hands or more-only 2 out of 127 are 10ptbb/100+,only 8 out of 127 are 8ptbb/100+.

70 players have played 15,000 hands or more-only 1 out of 70 are 10ptbb/100+,only 5 out of 70 are 8ptbb/100+.

I think a realistic goal is attempt to do 6-8+ptbb/100 at the $200's and move up the $400's hopefully at 4-7ptbb/100..good luck with this .I spent time with this because I'm in between these 2 limits currently.
