Fixing a software bug isn't like digging a hole where you can just put more people on it. It's more like solving a math proof. You take one guy and he has to think, explore, try something, try again, etc. Just finding where the problem occurs is 85% of the battle. Often the source of the bug is very distant from where the bug manifests.

You can put maybe 2 people, or 3 at the outside, on it, but after that they just get in each other's way and slow down the process.

Edit: Oh, and asking someone to work on software beyond 8-10 hours is just asking for the fix to be more buggy than the original problem. Mental exhaustion is very bad for coding. Here's where another person can help though. You transition your knowledge as best you can at the end of your day and let someone else ponder it (with the benefit of your knowlege dump) for the next 8 hours.

Note true. It shouldn't take more than one day to disable all posting and make people start playing by posting the big blind in the big blind position.

A temporary fix, true, but better than a crooked game.
