Default Re: Who\'s the better NBA player?

[ QUOTE ]
Kobe may be the greatest #2 to ever play. Just like Scottie Pippen (another contender for best #2) Kobe's career will not be defined by his rings, but by the way he gave up on his team in a big spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

so are you sympathetic to Scottie and critical of Kobe, even if they are defined by the similar games 7? (edit: this is a question. i would like to find out what standard you are using here.)

[ QUOTE ]

Forget the rape, forget the rings, Kobe's career is currently defined by Game 7 this year. No coach or player will be able to see beyond that.

[/ QUOTE ]

i hope you meant "forget the rape" because this is a basketball discussion. unless kobe was raping dwayne wade midcourt, i don't see how it could POSSIBLY be relevant to career. (edit: oh yeah, and the rings, are VERY relevant btw.)

[ QUOTE ]

Kobe's problem is that he thinks he is a #1 and he is just not. Dwayne Wade has a far larger claim to his ring than Kobe has to any of the 3. Kobe was never named Finals MVP.

wow, just wow.
