As to the rule of "a shown hand is a mucked hand" - thanks, that is what I was looking for.

As to the other replies, it is one thing for all you pro muti-tabling, 100K hand a week people to easily shrug your shoulders at a bad beat/suckouts and say 'that's poker' beacuse you will win 80% of the other times your are deep in a multi or deciding on a play for a huge $$$ pot.

But for someone like me (above average player that plays occasionally, does well and wins, but doesn't like to lose huge pots and spots in MTTs to suck outs and bad beats), I think it was a valid question. So get off your high horses and just answer the question without being poker snobs.
