Re: A group of 5/10 hands + Intro to forum
sup bro?
1) You may want to raise the flop to find out if your hand is good and make a flush draw pay more. I'm not really sure what his turn bet means... the 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is unlikely to have completed any hands and the flush draw missed. I would think a set would play to extract more value so I think a call there might be good.
2) I fold to his river bet most likely. I think I would also bet more on the flop closer to the pot. Maybe this is too results orientiented but I might check/call the river as to avoid building a massive pot.
3) Seems decent. I might be worried that a set would make that same raise... but it coule be a flush draw also. Very unlikely he has two pair unless he called with a suited ace.
4) Seems like a strange play to bluff. 880 to get a 485 doesn't make sense unless he thinks your folding 30% of the time (which could be possible). I would be worried about the texture of the flop. Most people play 78s suited there. Or he could have hit his set of 9s on the turn. I am confused by this one and not sure what to think.
5) Bet more on that flop and fold to his flop reraise as played. The turn bet was meant to be a blocking bet I am guessing so that he would not reraise? If so your blocking bet should be more like 35-45% of the pot here.
6) I don't like how you played this one. I would not mind so much if you had AQs but with the board is it possible he has axs. I think it may be deep stack enough for a call there on flop because of your implied odds. You are getting about 2:1 to call. However, missing sucks and checking the turn is a sure sign of weakness. I think Ansky's play is generally strong LAG from what I have seen.
Btw, some of your flop bets seem pretty small to me... usually when you hit top pair I think it's best to bet around 3/4 the pot or so to find out quickly whether you are ahead. Hopes this helps... I am not an expert at NL cash yet so feel free to critique anything back.
