Default Re: Pokerroom boycott!

[ QUOTE ]
Poker room has adjusted their rake schedule to hit the overall sweet spot of the pots. PR has been collecting data on every pot that has ever been played there and I'm certain their analysis shows that these are the premium spots to charge the most rake in order to maximize their profits.

I think this is a great point that PokerRoom thought that the average joe would not get by making the rake structure so complicated. The max rake is set at the AVERAGE POTS of levels below 3/6 ($12 for 1/2, $24 for 2/4, $36 for 3/6). When the pots reach those levels (avg pot size), PokerRoom is essentially taking a 10% rake. This was NOT an unintentional side effect of the new rake structure, but a calculated move by PokerRoom to get more rake out of the average player. This is not a give and take like the PokerRoom representative would like us to believe.

I know I'm a little late on this issue, but hopefully PokerRoom cares a little about their customer base and the consistent players on their site (fishes usually deposit some, lose, and move on, but consistent winners always play, constantly paying rake) and does something to remedy this situation. PokerRoom will soon dry up if everyone who cares about rake leaves.

It has not gone unnoticed PokerRoom! BOYCOTTT!!!!

This really pisses me off, especially the way they have not owned up to the fact that this definately increases the rake for most players. Please at least be a little honest. Trust is a huge reason why people pick one site over another.
