5. The new, more dramatic cut-off point in paid rake can unfortunately lead to certain pots being raked around 9-10%. Do note however that these are extreme situations that only occur when a pot reaches a certain, exact size.
Examples:
Limit 5-10 players
1/2 LEVEL
Pot size $11 total rake $0.40
Pot size $12 total rake $1
Pot size $29 total rake $1

so the only time you are going to benefit is when you are at an extremely loose table. One could play $1/$2 for an hour and not see a $29 pot.
The average pot at $1/$2 is about $13/$14. So, you have it fixed so that you willbe raking $1 in the fast majority of pots, where you used to only rake .50. The only time a player will benefit is if the pot is more than $25, where the $1.25 rake will now only be $1. However, Pots this large are so rare that players will not enjoy any savings.
God, if you're going to raise you rake, then just be honest about it and say you're raising your rake. Don't insult our intelligence by trying to make it look like a give and take, when in reality, the players are the ones doing all the giving, and you're doing all the taking.
