Maybe (Phil Ivey) doesnt want to give away more of his secrets.

That's got to be the reason Ivey isn't playing. There certainly wouldn't be a bigger game somewhere else.

Considering Ivey took part in the "Learn From the Pros" show on FSN as well as is a big part of Full Tilt whose main concept is to "Learn and chat with the pros," I doubt this is it. I'm pretty sure he realizes that this is going to be just like any televised tournament where they only show the highlights, so it's not like a Live cash came like LATB. I assume Ivey was just playing a bigger game or he just doesn't care (kind of like he treats tournaments these days).

I thought the show was pretty good tonight, although I think there is a lot of dead air when somebody takes a couple minutes to make a big decision. After all it is only a one hour telecast so the more hands they get in the better. I think they are also better of not even showing hands like the one where Negreanu raised in late position with KTo and Charmanarra defended his blind, and then Negreanu c-bet a rag flop and took it down. While those hands are really the bread and butter of poker, it doesn't make for very interesting television when there is only a dozen hands or so even shown per episode.
