I had a book when I was maybe 10 years old about the greatest sports stories. One of the stories was about a softball pitcher named "The King" who could throw something like 110mph underhanded. During a celebrity game he came in and struck out three of the best major leaguers in history, in order (Willie Mays is the only one I recall). My money is with your old man here.
