Those injuries were irreplacable. Do you think you can just replace players like Kim Johnsson, Keith Primeau, and Dominik Hasek? Johnsson is a top 40 D in the league and probably better than anyone the Sabres skate out there on a regular basis, Keith Primeau was absolutely lights out in the 04 playoffs, playing phenomenal two-way hockey, and Dominik Hasek is certainly better than Ray Emery. Do you think Hasek loses Game 1 of the ECSF the way Emery did?

I was pulling for the Sabres in Game 7 - you guys still think you're the only team that had any injuries. The fact that Regier could've gotten a veteran D so at least he could've had 4 guys who are capable of taking an NHL shift makes it even worse.

The Sabres might have won the series without injuries, they might not have - they probably would have. But who knows about the other series.
