We have a new driver in the family in the last year or so. We live in the country and the animals are thick, (deer, bear, pheasant, whatever.)
She was taught that you are allowed to brake if they run out in front of you but you NEVER swerve.
I hate reading stories where some woman's kid got killed because she swerved to miss a turtle and hit a tree.
People also don't realize how many people die in deer car accidents.
If they're in front of you at 55 or more....drive on and hope to launch them rather than have them come through the windshield.
