I've nailed various critters over the years, but the only one that sticks out in my mind is the only dog I've hit.
Doing about 40 in a full-size 74 Blazer, lifted with large tires...not the most stable vehicle in the world, and a large lab jumps out in front of us.
I had enough time to slam on the breaks if I wanted to, but the dog was toast no matter what.
Since I had a pregnent women in my truck, 6 months or so...I hit the gas, gave him a quicker ending and kept us safe.
