While we're at it lets stop tipping servers too. Give them a flat hourly rate and give them very little motivation to be polite and prompt.

Next time you're waiting 45 minutes for your steak it will be because the server(possibly a former dealer) is smoking a joint out back because he doesn't give a crap if you're happy or not.

This argument definitely doesn't apply at rooms where tips are pooled. This is how it was when I used to play at Foxwoods (years ago, so this may have changed); there was a vote among the dealers and they chose that they wanted tips to be pooled. The result is that when I throw a dollar to a dealer, it is getting split with so many other dealers (it's a big room) that my guy is not getting any real incentive to keep providing good service.

I know in Tuncia they keep their own. I was told they did in LV but I don't know for sure.

When I was a BJ dealer in Tuncia every casino shared tips (with the exception of poker dealers) besides Fitzgeralds.

I was glad we did it that way even though I felt I pulled in more than the average. I was scared if we kept our own I would start getting some of the crappier shifts.

It would be more than just boring not dealing a single card on Carribean Stud from 4am - noon.
