One of the most odd things I've ever seen, and it had a weird profound effect on me.

Randy Johnson back when he was in his prime with the M's. Just insane good.

Ball gets hit back to the mound, and he's moving towards first, that inbetween distance where you can't make a full toss, but you can't underhand it.

Johnson just makes this really ugly throw, exactly like you picture when you think of how a girl throws (which I believe was nowhere close to the bag and the guy advanced). All of a sudden this guy who had been this fearsome, dominating player, who almost seemed inhuman had turned into this tall, geeky looking, guy who couldn't walk without trippy overhimself. It was just so weirdly humanizing of him that it somehow made me really sad and I found the whole thing very touching.
