this question arose after seeing jeffage raise with a medium pair with 2 overs behind him which seems bad but i am a stud novice so i dont know if this is commonly done or not.

i also dont agree with you that you should give it up on 5th. since the bet increases this will be the street hes most likely to fold his draw or pair. i think if anything you should give it up on 6th, not 5th.
