Re: on salvia, the legal hallucinogenic.

I DO NOT like being out of control of my mind like that. If you had told me when I started freaking out that I had smoked salvia, I wouldn't have mattered. I was thoroughly convinced I was in a coma and this was an illusion my mind had created. Can you imagine how scary that is to honestly believe your entire life has been fake and you're lying in a hospital bed? I'm still worried. How can I be sure? I will probably never be trying it again.

You won't have much control over what happens to you mainly because of few seconds after you've taken a hit you won't even remember that you've just taken a hit. Your perception at that point will become your reality (it's not like shrooms where you are sort of aware that your perception is distorted because you're shrooming). And if that reality includes an ability to fly, you'll probably jump out of the window.

I did warn you.
That said I think the interesting about Salvia is that it does show you that perception comes from the inside and is very different from objective reality. That realisation can be pretty disturbing but can also open your mind to the possibility that people might have different perceptions of the world & that your perception is not necessarly an accurate representation of objective reality.
