confidence is more important than height

The problem is that being short sucks for many other things outside of dating and sex. There have been studies about how people are more respected in business who are taller, how very few CEOs are shorter than average, etc. Not to mention being short is a pain in the ass in a movie theatre or concert - you can never see above anyone. Most women don't orgasm through intercourse (roughly two-thirds according to surveys), and dating sites like eharmony will not match shorter men with taller women, which claim to be based on careful research. Many women simply will not date shorter men. IMO this is an easy choice of being tall with a small wang, for the reason that being short would be a pain in the ass in just about every facet of life, whereas a small wang is strictly confined to sex.

This turned out to be a pretty interesting thread afterall.
I agree with the subconcious respect that taller men receive (conversely, disadvantages to short people).

I say I'm 5-6. But I'm probably a shade under that.
I also don't exactly have a gigantic wang.

i went out with a 6-2 girl once which was kind of weird.

If you are funny/charming/clever/confident then you can get the chicks who are at least smart enough to get your jokes.
I really haven't had much problem.

I would much rather be short than obese or ugly.

I once read that 5-6 or so was in bottom 14th percentile among American adult men. probably lower than that by now.

When I was a kid, doctors thought I had some sort of growing disorder. When I was 10 you would have sworn I was only 6 or 7.
I didn't even make the zero percentile for a kid my age. Doctors predicted I would grow up to be about 4-8 or so.

So I actually feel fortunate because 5-6 is at least reasonably normal.

FWIW - Being short does have its advantages.
Even at 5-6 I'm miserable in the cramped spaces of airplanes. I have no idea how 6-0 guys and taller do it.
I once flew to Alaska with a guy who is 6-6. He was in total misery and agony because he could barely fit into the seat and it was a looooong flight.
