I responded the way that I did because I honestly Identify with your situation. I am only 21 man and have had shady [censored] like that come up. Yeah I've let a friend's GF vent about them over a few drinks. I have consoled a friends ex-gf during 'the break up'. I guess it's just in reflecting I have come to realize that I was a [censored] friend, and as such a lot of my friends were [censored] friends.

The type of respect you show people models the type the respect you can expect to be shown.

I got sick of shallow, self-serving 'myspace' friendships (I mean come on, who the [censored] has 300 friends) and have thought some about what 'friendship' means to me.
