In one of the fights last night, I think they said he was 27yo and it was in 1994 which would make him about 39. I could be wrong.

Royce is 39 (12/12/1966). Hughes is 32 (10/13/73)
As to those questioning his motiviation, Gracie is reportedly getting a record 1.25M for the fight appearance.
