So they're taking bathing suits, but might decide to take them off? This is her ex-bf, and that group of friends doesn't like you?

I would hate the idea regardless, but I'm weird like that. Given this new information, I would say that you definitely do NOT want this to happen. I know you trust her, but this smells funny. She clearly felt weird about it, or thought you might not like it, which likely means she was thinking it might be wrong. Or thought that you might think it was wrong.

I would be honest with her, and say you wouldn't want her skinny dipping (if that's how you feel), and that the idea makes you uncomfortable. If she has a swimsuit, she can just NOT take it off - that's pretty easy. If they're her friends, they should have no problem with that, right? If she has a problem with that, I would really want to know why.

Pretty simple, IMO.
