Two choices from the airport:
1) Take BART south to Millbrae (five minutes), transfer to Caltrain, north a single stop to San Bruno (five minutes), walk one block north to Artichoke Joe's
2) Take BART north to Colma (dunno time, check
http://bart.gov), walk a quarter-mile or so to Lucky Chances.
I take Caltrain to AJ's all the time, but if you're up for it I don't think anyone would dispute that LC is a much nicer cardroom.
Late edit: Once you're in SF, BART south to Colma (for LC) or Caltrain south to San Bruno (for AJs).
